baby hudson
I never know what to expect when walking into a clients home for a newborn session. It is a world to be explored and discovered. A creative way to photograph a new child in the home is to simply place him in the surroundings that creates and defines the family. You'll see what I mean as you look through the images below. A fun session with alot of good laughs. Mom and I had a blast playing with Hudson!A series of images from dad's other pride and joy, a vintage Camero he has been working on rebuilding. I had just went to the fabric store the day before and bought this hip fabric of skull prints. It matched perfectly. I love it when things simply work out perfectly. Since dad got a garage to work on his "hot rods" he built mom a "William + Sonoma" room to enjoy. He did an amazing job designing; from the floor and shelves to the paint on the walls. I was quite impressed and I know mom was surprised!! Since they are both big on cooking it is quite appropriate. Actually, Hudson arrived over Thanksgiving so they did not get to cook one of their favorite meals of the year, so mom and I did some cooking of sorts on our own with baby Hudson!! I love the antique recipe box passed down from grandma used in the image. This last image is from Hudson's bathroom. Mom had an artist by the name of Margaret Sink of Lexington, NC come in to create a Dr. Seuss theme. It looks just like the original illustrations. I was incredibly impressed. Want a good laugh? As I carried the fish back down stairs to the table they came from the water sloshed out of the bowl into my face and down my chest. BLECK!
