River Run International Film Festival Winston Salem NC
River Run is taking over downtown Winston Salem NC! It all started yesterday with Opening Night Films and a party at SECCA. I am proud to be a partner this year and document the event. Come by River Run Headquarters located at 300 West Fourth Street and pick up a movie guide or get the FREE app at iTunes or at Google Play here. Film lovers lined up for the first film, Blancanieves, at UNCSA in excitement. It was a packed venue for the opening night as the curtain lifted!
My office has been set up for headshots of directors, actors and other VIP guests. Our first guests was Susie, Donna Lawrence, Smiley the Dog and Megan Blake, all with Susie's Hope. You may remember Susie's story a few years ago, a tragic event that happened here in the Triad area of North Carolina. To read more about Susie and Donna and how they helped heal one another, read this local news article. Susie's Hope plays today and again Tuesday this coming week. Meeting the amazing Susie and Donna was amazing! Susie licked me in the face and insisted on lots of love. She has no grudge towards mankind and is such an outgoing loving furry friend. As you can see in the images below, the pups stole the show!
Along with them, visitors include Valerie Vaughn of Art of Conflict. (Did you know she was Vince Vaughn's sister? We laughed about her childhood growing up with the infamous Vince!)
Fun fellas Johnny Sneed and Cory Van Dyke with Far Marfa brought good laughs from Los Angeles.
And lastly the adorable Grant Hamilton (Time Zero, The Last Year of Polaroid Film) found something fun to play with in my office.
